Connect to your Wi-Fi Halo
The Wi-Fi Halo SSID & password can be found on the Wi-FI Security Card that came with your Wi-Fi Halo, as well as at the back of the Wi-Fi Halo.
If you have changed your default Wi-Fi SSID and/or password, and wish to change it back to the default SSID and/or password, you can reset the settings by pressing and holding the reset button for 20 seconds. The reset button is located at the back of the Wi-Fi Halo. The following are instructions on how to change the Wi-Fi SSID and password manually.
Manual Wireless Configuration
Log into your router by entering 192.168.1.1 and typing in your login name/password (default: admin/admin) into your browser. After logging in, click on the Wireless 2.4GHz or 5GHz option. You can change your Wi-Fi SSID and password for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz here.
Select the network you want to modify by clicking on the gear button beside the respective section.
Under the “Basic” tab, change the SSID and/or password as required. Click Apply to save changes.
At this point, if you were currently connected via Wireless, you will need to reconnect.
We recommend to set different passwords for 5GHz and 2.4GHz, and connect to 5GHz for better performance.
2.4GHz network is not recommended for high density housing areas such as HDBs.
